Kale Lacinato heirloom vegetable dates back to the early 1800’s, rather primitive looking crinkled blue-green dark leaves 7.5 cm (3″) wide by 25 cm (10″) long. Plants grow (24″-34″) in height. Baby greens can be harvested young from 30 days after planting with full sized savoy leaves.

Instructions
Sow seeds directly outdoors 1 cm (1/2″) deep in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm (24″) apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm (12″) apart. Kale is very cold tolerant and develops its best flavour after the fall frosts.
